Junk email can be quite irritating. At times, I tend to get more of it

Junk email can be quite irritating. At times, I tend to get more of it than I do normal email. In fact, junk email has become such a part of everyday life, that it in itself has become normal. But it still irritates the hell out of me though, particularly those ones that claim to have $12 million stashed away in a bank and want to give it you. How generous of them (and it ain't even Xmas yet). They must think the world is full of highly gullible people. Actually, unfortunately, there are quite a few gullible peeps out there. I was watching Oprah the other day and a couple of guests on the show had fallen prey to one of those scams and lost quite a lot of money.I wish there was a super duper programmer out there who could develop some kind of magical program to stop all kinds of junk email. I'm yet to find a program that blocks all. I guess it would be impossible to block all junk, but I can dream, can't I? A tall handsome programmer with cute freckles and a particularly special talent at nipping junk mails in the bud. Any programmer that could do that would make a fortune, I'm sure. I'm done paying for anti-virus programs. I bought Norton and my computer still got attacked. So I used a free one and I can't believe it's doing a much better job.
The world wide web is a big beautiful curious place to be. I've been exposed to lots of stuff from web development to celebrity news to blogging to socialising and everything in-between. I'm glad to have been born in an era where I've seen the internet develop and been able to benefit and learn from it. However, with the copious advantages of the world wide web comes its dark side - reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood walking through the forest. Even the most clued up people can get attacked by a virus or have their account hacked into. I wish the hackers would use their talents to do something more useful, but I guess they get some kind of twisted kick out of it. Saying all that, the world wide web continues to fascinate me more than it worries me.
